The role requires flexibility, as staff may be required to rotate across shifts and cover other sites when necessary.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively across various departments and maintain high standards of care for patients of all ages. The role requires flexibility, as staff may be required to rotate across shifts and cover other sites when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Draw blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain clear and open communication between the laboratory departments, nursing units, and laboratory management.
- Ensure quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.
- Rotate shifts and cover additional sites as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by laboratory management.
- After completing initial training and competency assessments, process specimens and collect blood samples independently without supervision.
- Provide a positive experience for patients through excellent bedside manner.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of a phlebotomy certificate program, medical assisting program, or equivalent practical experience in phlebotomy techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to rotate shifts and adapt to changes in work assignments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to work independently after training and competency assessment.
- Previous experience in phlebotomy preferred, with familiarity in drawing blood from patients of all ages.
- Certification in Phlebotomy (preferred, but not required).
