Venesco, LLC is recruiting two Phlebotomists to provide services at VA Central Western Medical Center in Massachusetts. Phlebotomists will provide valuable care to veterans. This is a great opportunity to give back to those who have served our country.

Hours: Phlebotomist will work an 8.5 hour shift with a half hour lunch between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

1. Technical Requirements: The Contractor’s personnel may work in multiple areas of the lab as determined by the needs of the service at that time.

2. The employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.

3.The employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation.

4. As part of safety, positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting.

5. As part of safety and safeguards electronic and paper patient information.

6. Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, processing, testing, or reporting issues.

7. Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers.

Requirements:

1. Training: Shall have completed a formal Phlebotomy Training course.

2. Experience: The Phlebotomist assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract must have three (3) years of recent Phlebotomy experience.

2. Technical Proficiency: Contractor’s employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently. Contractor shall provide documents upon request of the CO/COR to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed.
