The Division of Allied Health Sciences Medical Assisting Program is seeking Adjunct instructors for several courses, including Phlebotomy. As an adjunct instructor, you work with students to provide them with the knowledge and training they need to be successful in the Medical Assisting and/or Phlebotomy field.
Days and times depend on specific course schedule. Evenings and Saturdays may be required for certain courses.
Adjunct instructors are responsible for:
* Prepare syllabus and course materials.
* Instruct lecture and/or labs.
* Prepare online course material to support instruction.
* Keep attendance and grade records.
* Report mid-term and final grades by deadlines.
Education
* Associates degree preferred
Experience
* Minimum of one year experience in Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, or healthcare related field
* Previous teaching or training experience preferred

* Teaching utilizing real-world experience
* Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems to effectively facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication.
* Demonstrate a passion for the academic field and education in general
* Possess the ability to commit to student engagement including maintaining consistent communication and support mechanisms to ensure student positively progress to meet their goals
Licensure/Certification
* RMA, CMA, PBT (ASCP) certification preferred
