Job Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Stamford, Connecticut. This role is centered around providing high-level administrative support, including conducting research, managing information requests, and performing crucial clerical tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and manage customer credit applications
• Maintain detailed and confidential customer credit records
• Conduct research as a key part of the administrative function
• Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
• Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively
• Manage office functions, including maintaining records management systems and performing basic bookkeeping work
• Prepare and process invoices, reports, memos, letters, and financial statements
• Distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails, in a timely manner
• Prepare responses to routine inquiries in the correspondence
• Ensure the use of effective verbal and written communication skills in all tasks.
• Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating the ability to handle queries and complaints efficiently and effectively• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with staff, clients, and suppliers
• Familiarity with standard Office Functions, including filing, mail distribution, and office upkeep
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data management, document creation, and presentations
• Strong Research skills to gather, analyze, and present data as required
• Knowledge of About Time software for effective time and attendance management
• Ability to handle Correspondence, including drafting letters and emails
• Experience in various Clerical Duties such as data entry, scheduling, and organizing files
• Understanding of Financial Statements to assist with basic bookkeeping tasks
• Knowledge of Conductivity principles in the workplace to maintain a positive and productive environment
• Strong Interpersonal Skills to build and maintain relationships within the team and with external contacts
• Ability to Distribute Faxes in a timely manner to the appropriate recipients
• Excellent Written Communication skills for drafting and proofreading documents
• Experience in Records Management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date record keeping
• Proficiency in various Computer Programs relevant to administrative tasks
• Knowledge of Basic Bookkeeping, including tracking expenses and preparing financial reports
• Ability to Prepare Invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Skills to Prepare Responses to routine enquiries and correspondence
• Proficiency in Photocopying/Scanning documents, ensuring high-quality outputs and proper filing.
