WAREHOUSE MANAGER
1.0Job Description
Warehouse, Operations and Facilities managers are responsible for creating a safe and effective working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean and secure, and safe for employees.The operations and facilities manager has overall responsibility for satellite warehouse(s) including the building and personnel who work inside the building.The Facilities manager will work with various other departments as well as external vendors to ensure that all systems and processes are properly managed.The manager is also responsible for the logistics operations located inside the facility and ensures that operations are managed in a professional and efficient manner.
2.0Duties/Responsibilities
2.1Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
2.2Responsible for vendor relationships and scheduling for building and machinery repairs and/or maintenance.
2.3Ensures all safety and security processes and standards are maintained.
2.4Maintains overall responsibility for employees in the building including but not limited to: time keeping, PTO, policy/procedure adherence and discipline.
2.5Overall responsibility of daily warehouse activities including but not limited to: Inbound and outbound orders, Inventory control, space management, and customer service.
2.6Review and optimize warehouse flow, layout, staffing requirements and action plans to meet company standards and objectives.
2.7Ensure all established policies and procedures set by Director of Operations, HR, and/or Executives leadership team are followed by staff.
2.8Work directly with Director of Operations and HR on staffing reviews, job changes, and disciplinary actions.
2.9Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence as it relates to employees or work area responsibilities.
2.10Resolves warehouse-related issues with representatives from other departments throughout the company.
2.11Ability to operate and endure the efficient and safe operations of all materials handling equipment.
2.12And other duties assigned.
3.0Required Skills/Abilities
3.1Knowledge of warehouse operations, warehouse management system, principles and practices of effective leadership skills, and principles and practices of effective customer service.
3.2Ability to manage a team in a professional manner.
3.3Ability to work on a team as both a leader and a follower.
3.4Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3.5Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
3.6Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
3.7Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
3.8Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
3.9Proficient with data entry and Microsoft Office.
3.10Knowledge of OSHA best practices.
3.11Knowledge and certification as required for Control of Hazardous Energy (machinery and materials handling equipment).
3.12Knowledge of ISO and R2 standards.
3.13Knowledge of Control of Change.
3.14The ability to identify aspect hazard and risks.
4.0Education and Experience
4.1Four-year degree business operations or supply chain preferred but not required.
4.25 + years of experience in warehouse leadership roles
4.3Must understand basic OSHA warehouse related regulations.
4.4The ability to think in terms of process flow and identify operational component operations and interrelationships.
4.5Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities. Time study, work measurement, and warehouse floor data collection experience preferred.
5.0Physical Requirements
5.1Ability to safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
5.2Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time.
5.3Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
