JOB TITLE: RECEPTIONIST

DEPARTMENT: HUMAN RESOURCES

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The receptionist is the primary point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. This role supports daily office operations, by handling phone calls, assisting guests, and performing essential administrative duties.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answers or referring inquiries.
• Screens calls and routes calls to appropriate staff.
• Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories, giving instructions.
• Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges and checking ID.
• Maintains conference rooms; straighten tables and chairs for arriving guests.
• Maintains breakroom; cleans area, organizes refrigerator, cabinets, and supplies.
• Coordinating luncheons, etc. for employees and guests.
• Keeps checklist of inventory, cleaning, and office supplies.
• Submits order list to management for review.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail.
• Manage bank deposits and basic financial tasks, such as handling receipts.

• Order and restock office and cleaning supplies.
• Monitor and maintain the accounts payable email inbox.
• Assist with AMEX receipt processing and reconciliation.
• Assist in day-to-day operations.
• Any other duties as assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma and 4-6 years relevant experience as a receptionist.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
