Responsibilities

Receptionist- BRAND NEW Opioid Clinic

The OTP Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering calls, and checking in patients. In addition, the receptionist may assist with various clerical duties and projects as assigned by OTP Program Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient coordination in the lobby.
  • Manage up-to-date clinic income records documenting all relevant transactions.
  • Collect and handle all payments from patients and accurately enter daily payment activities (credit, insurance, cash, and payment for previous visit) into software management system.
  • Fill out and file insurance forms for payment as requested.
  • Responsible for researching, identifying, and properly posting all unidentified payments.
  • Receipt payments must reconcile with cash balance at end of shift.
  • Resolve all discrepancies and report errors to the Program Director daily.
  • Understands and is responsible for compliance on all record keeping requirements as
    determined by Federal and State Laws, funding sources and approved by CARF Standards, and Program Director.
  • Will maintain supplies list i.e., clinic toiletries, coffee, office supplies, cleaning supplies, furniture needs, etc. and inventory of supplies needed for the function and maintenance of daily operations for staff and patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2 years of telephone, switchboard, and computer skills, preferably in a health care environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
