Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the Landscaping of County rights-of-ways.
- Duties may include but are not limited to operation of construction and landscape maintenance equipment including tractors, wood chippers, various size chainsaws, frond trucks, large arrow/message board truck, edgers, hedgers, string trimmers, and all similar trucks, equipment, and other hand tools.
- Performs tree trimming, and litter and debris clean up.
- Operation of equipment includes any equipment listed in a lower operator grade.
- May operate Grapple Truck, Skid Steer and Mini Excavator.
- May include irrigation maintenance and repair activities.
Education, Experience, Licensing
- Requires any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in the operation of construction or related vehicular equipment.
- Possession of a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement and an acceptable driving record is required.
- This is a Safety-Sensitive position subject to Drug and Alcohol Workplace Testing as provided in DOT regulation 49 CFR-Parts 40 and/or 382.
