Req ID: 124335 Region: Americas Country: United States State/Province: Texas City: Richardson Summary The Hardware Platform Solutions team works with our CCS (Connectivity and Cloud Solutions) Market teams to deliver products and services to our customers in a rapidly growing business. Reporting to the Design Engineering Director, you will be working in a highly skilled team of Hardware Engineers focused on developing and networking, compute and storage products. This team will also provide NPI and sustaining support for our global organization. The successful candidate will interface with our leadership team, our global design organization and customers on strategy and execution. Detailed Description Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: Manage a team of hardware engineers to and provide technical expertise throughout the design cycle Work with key component suppliers and eco-system partners to new business opportunities in Enterprise and Service Provider markets. Coordinate resources between competencies (engineering, manufacturing, Sourcing/SCM and other departments) to drive the implementation of product features/requirements. Drive highly visible troubleshooting efforts to solutions, under possible stressful circumstances. Conduct and/or participate in brainstorming sessions to identify creative ideas and unique solutions Manage multiple project timelines, cost, resources and responsibilities to achieve successful deliverables of the programs. Participates in the analysis of risk as part of Risk Management activities as applicable. Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by supervisor and management. Drive excellent customer satisfaction by understanding and over-delivering against Customer Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Strong engineering knowledge in the field of Compute, Storage or Network products and application cases, knowledge of AI products, GPU servers is a strong plus Knowledge of Broadcom chips, and their application cases is a strong plus Experience in hardware design and development and understanding of complex concepts related to architecture, design engineering, reliability, prototyping and failure analysis. Strong organizational, planning, and program management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards Experience in a “customer facing” environment. Excellent multi-tasking and problem-solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. International culture awareness, ability to communicate and collaborate within global team. Physical Demands Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Occasional travel may be required. Typical Experience 11+ years (7+ years' of relevant experience in server or storage) Typical Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Hardware, Electrical, Telecom or related technical field.
