Description

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Responsible for full cycle recruitment process and building employer brand. Maintains positive image that represents company values and culture through social media strategy, recruitment strategy and onboarding process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Creates job ads and postings, managing the advertising and budgets
  • Sources, identifies and recruits qualified Class A CDL company drivers through various advertisement mediums and lead generation
  • Reviews applications to determine if qualified, pre-screens and conducts phone interviews to determine candidate eligibility
  • Develops and maintains a database and pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Coordinates scheduling of interviews
  • Maintains and updates job requisitions and candidate status in Applicant Tracking System
  • Creates a positive candidate experience
  • Learns and maintains knowledge of driver labor markets
  • Collaborates with managers to identify staffing needs and requirements
  • Tracks and reports on all recruiting activities on a routine basis
  • Develops networks with external sources to continually improve sourcing opportunities
  • Develops and maintains relationships with candidates through a variety of sources, electronically (video, chat, text), by phone, in-person and promotes a positive business environment as a source of guidance for candidates
  • Maintains and promotes DOT compliance during recruitment and hiring process
  • Ensures compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations
  • Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences in all phases

OTHER DUTIES:
  • Attends job affairs and community events
  • Social media posting and employer branding
  • Assist with Recruiting for all company positions
  • Onboarding and new hire orientations
  • Company SWAG store contact and new hire boxes
  • Assists with HR, compliance or operational duties as assigned
  • Travel to Terminal Locations as needed
  • Ad hoc projects/duties as needed


Requirements

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years' recruiting experience
  • Driver Recruiting experience preferred
  • Previous employer branding, social media, and experience preferred
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational efficiency
  • Ability to work amicably with co-workers and candidates and provide excellent customer service
  • Able to work with a sense of urgency
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite programs and Google Suite
  • Ability to use different computer systems, including ATS (applicant tracking system) to complete job duties
  • Able to handle stressful situations while maintaining professionalism
  • Attention to detail
  • Understanding of the commercial driving industry
  • Education and/or formal training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
