We are actively recruiting Family Nurse Practitioners and other key providers to support our rapid growth and expansion, and we need a Healthcare Recruiter who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about connecting top talent with opportunity.
Location: On-site in Downtown Birmingham, AL. (This is not a remote or hybrid position)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Role:
The Healthcare Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, strategizing and executing to source, attract, and hire Family Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other essential providers. Reporting to the Provider Relations Manager, you'll collaborate closely with our Recruitment Coordinator and a fellow Provider Recruiter to build a strong talent pipeline that supports MainStreet's mission and growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, recruit, and onboard new healthcare providers.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for provider roles, particularly in rural and underserved markets.
- Take ownership of all candidate interactions, including scheduling, interview feedback, and ATS management.
- Log all outreach activities, including contacts, calls, proposals, negotiations, and agreements, in the ATS.
- Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to assess and qualify candidates based on skill, experience, and culture fit.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies to connect with qualified candidates.
- Conduct preliminary screening of providers, verifying availability, licensing, credentialing, malpractice, and privileging requirements prior to executive interviews.
- Support FNPs and PAs in preparation for interviews to facilitate a smooth hiring process.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Clinical Affairs and the operations team to ensure recruitment goals are met.
- Partner with the team to organize and participate in job fairs and recruitment events.
- Manage additional projects as assigned (e.g., database management, social media content).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in agency/search firm settings.
- Strong track record of achieving recruiting goals.
- Strong ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions regarding candidate qualifications.
- Proficiency in using Indeed, LinkedIn and other digital channels for recruitment.
