We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in Modesto, California. This role is within the HR industry and will be based in a detail oriented setting. The HR Specialist will focus on several areas including payroll/compensation, recruitment/hiring, performance management, and detail oriented development. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and analytical capabilities, and familiarity with HR software programs.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and implement employee policies effectively
• Provide management with high-quality advice on daily employee relations and performance management issues
• Support the HR department in executing programs aimed at enhancing the employee experience
• Actively assist in recruiting efforts
• Establish and maintain relationships with employment agencies to ensure selection of the most experience in candidates
• Strive for continuous improvement by identifying ways to enhance policies and procedures
• Prepare comprehensive reports on HR metrics to aid senior management in decision-making processes
• Participate in or assist with new employee orientation
• Utilize strong conflict resolution skills to address and resolve issues
• Provide coaching and counseling on various HR matters.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as an HR Specialist
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Familiarity with Ceridian software
• CRM experience is required
• Experience with 'About Time' software
• Auditing skills are essential
• Experience in managing Benefit Functions
• Excellent communication skills
• Compliance management experience is necessary
• Proficiency in Automated Payroll
• Experience with Benefits Payroll
• Experience in managing bi-Monthly Payroll
• Knowledge in ADP - Payroll is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
