An exciting opportunity just opened up in the Edison area for an HR Generalist (Benefits Specialist).


Position Overview:

As an HR Generalist with a focus on benefits, you will be instrumental in managing and enhancing our employee benefits programs. Your role will involve ensuring compliance, optimizing benefit offerings, and serving as a trusted resource for employees regarding their benefits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and more.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees' benefits inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct new hire benefits orientations and provide guidance during open enrollment periods.
  • Collaborate with vendors and brokers to maintain cost-effective and competitive benefit offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws related to benefits, including ACA, COBRA, and ERISA.
  • Analyze and report on benefits utilization and recommend program improvements.
  • Support the HR team with generalist responsibilities, including onboarding, employee relations, and HR projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • PHR, SPHR, or CEBS certification is a plus.
