JOB SUMMARY
The Regional HR Manager will partner with designated Regional Operations Leaders to help facilitate positive employee relations, communication, and great people results. This field-focused role will function as an advisor for escalated employee relations issues, support workplace investigations where needed, and partner with operations to help build and support programs to improve staffing, retention, and engagement throughout assigned practices. This position will be based in Denver. Local travel is required within the Denver metropolitan area plus occasional out-of-state travel to assigned locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Coordinate with the operations team to identify HR needs and provide strategic solutions.
- Function as the first line of support to Operations Leaders to consult on escalated employee relations concerns; support workplace investigations as needed and provide findings and recommendations.
- Help ensure that disciplinary action is consistently and fairly administered.
- Monitor employee safety and compliance programs and ensure assigned practices are meeting compliance standards; monitor and communicate compliance changes.
- Conduct New Practice Manager HR Training.
- Visit assigned practices on a quarterly basis to interact with teams and identify HR needs or concerns.
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures to support positive communication and a great work environment.
- Administer the annual engagement survey and manage communication and participation strategy.
- Administer the annual performance review process and manage communication and field training.
- Monitor available data to provide targeted support and recommendations to help improve results and ensure a great employee experience.
- Assist in the development of programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and positive employee relations.
- Ensure that all employee benefits and other programs designed to support our people are well communicated and understood; assist in Open Enrollment planning and communication.
- Monitor onboarding and other systems for compliance and follow up with practices as appropriate.
- Respond to unemployment claims for assigned practices.
- Attend regional operations meetings and provide value-added content and delivery.
- Support training initiatives and partner with regional operations on training needs.
- Assist with field leadership interviews as needed.
- Function as a brand champion for CityVet.
- Visit practices within assigned regions a minimum of once per quarter.
- Other responsibilities as appropriate for the role.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven success as an employee relations/HR business partner in an operationally sensitive environment with a dispersed workforce (5+ years). HR experience in hospitality, retail, healthcare, or service industry (or any high-touch industry) very helpful.
- Knowledge of multi-state compliance, labor laws, and employment trends.
- Solid experience managing workplace investigations and communicating recommendations.

- BS in HR management, business, communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience, PHR/SPHR certification, etc.).
