Job OverviewThe HR Business Partner will drive key human initiatives that will substantially enhance the success and growth of the Mizzen + Main organization. This role will report to the Vice President of People & Culture and support the corporate team located in Dallas, TX as well as the company's 11 retail locations. This position is required to be onsite.
This teammate will champion company culture at Mizzen+Main and be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, retention, and resolving daily human resource challenges. Given the significant growth of the business, this role is particularly critical to helping ensure the company attracts and hires talented individuals who align with our values and protect our unique culture. This HR Business Partner will have a strong understanding of all areas within the HR discipline and possess the ability to lead change and execute operational tasks in our HR system.
Responsibilities and Duties- Partner closely with the VP of People & Culture to develop and implement HR Strategies that align with Mizzen's vision, mission and long-term plan.
- Drive human resources activities including talent acquisition & onboarding, learning and development, benefits, payroll, retention and employee engagement.
- Create an environment of continuous improvement leading critical initiatives including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention processes.
- Address employee relations issues, partner with managers and employees to conduct inquires and investigations.
- Own and execute all areas within HR operations, technology and compliance, as well as optimize vendor contributions.
- Support the Mizzen+Main Leadership Team in driving all cross- functional business goals and initiative.
- Ensure a respectful and welcoming work environment that instills diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Lead as a culture ambassador, continuing to drive and uphold the Mizzen + Main brand values.
- 5 +years' previous experience in human resources.
- Bachelor's degree and/ or Master's in Human Resources, Business or related field.
- SPHR or SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in talent recruiting and cultivating positive employee-engagement.
- Experienced in collaborating, partnering, and influencing at all levels within the organization. Must be comfortable leading versus following and posses confidence in making recommendations, decisions and bringing new ideas to the table.
- Understanding of employment law, compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and regulatory standards. Anticipate and proactively initiate actions to comply with Company requirements.
- Strong project management and technical capabilities, superior written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Keen intellectual curiosity to identify and implement new ways to continually engage and motivate teams.
