Job Title: HR Manager
Location: San Antonio, TX (On-Site)
Compensation: $80,000+ per year

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a non-profit team and lead the human resources function with integrity and innovation.

Position Summary:
The HR Manager will play a key role in driving HR strategies and initiatives that support organizational goals. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent. Develop and implement effective onboarding processes.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to staff and management by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting open communication.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, providing tools and guidance to managers to support employee development.
  • HR Policies and Procedures: Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with organizational values and compliance requirements.
  • Workplace Culture: Champion initiatives that promote employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Build a positive and supportive work environment aligned with our mission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in an HR leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment is a plus.
