Our organization, located in Midland, Texas, is actively seeking a proficient Human Resources (HR) Manager to become part of our team. The primary focus of this role is to establish and coordinate HR practices and policies that promote an employee-centric, high-performance culture. The emphasis is on quality, productivity, goal achievement, and the recruitment and ongoing development of an exceptional workforce. This role presents a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and coordinate HR policies, programs, and practices, keeping management informed of new developments, procedures, and laws
• Protect the interests of employees and the organization in accordance with organizational policies and governmental laws and regulations
• Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding personnel policies and practices, including advice on consistent disciplinary documentation and procedures
• Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints or concerns
• Review employee appeals through the organization's complaint procedure
• Support department heads by conducting interviews during grievances, new staff onboarding, separations or other critical times
• Review and guide management recommendations for employment terminations
• Establish and recommend employee relations practices that foster a positive employer-employee relationship, emphasize quality, continuous improvement, high performance, and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
• Manage employee communication and feedback through various avenues such as meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and intranet use
• Develop and/or recommend revisions to organizational employment policies
• Assist in organizational planning that evaluates job design and personnel forecasting
• Coach department heads on effective methods and objectives for employee retention and for creating and maintaining a high-morale, high-productivity work environment
• Assist with developing job descriptions for approved budgeted positions and update organizational charts for departments
• Assist in developing departmental goals and objectives as requested
• Establish standard recruiting and onboarding practices and procedures to bring on board an exceptional workforce
• Provide necessary education and materials to managers and employees by establishing an in-house employee training system that addresses organizational needs, including training needs assessment, new employee orientation, management development, production cross-training, and measurement of training impact
• Oversee the performance management system, which includes performance development plans and employee development programs for non-performing employees
• Supervise Human Resources consultants, attorneys, investigators, and training specialists
• Develop and monitor an annual budget that includes Human Resources, employee recognition, and wellness.• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge of ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Experience with Ceridian and HCM systems
• Familiarity with Benefit Functions, Communication, Compliance, and Employee Relations
• Expertise in Hiring Processes and Human Resources (HR) Administration
• Competency in using Human resources software and Human Resources Management System
• Understanding of Company Policy and Employment Policies
• Knowledge of HR Policy, Operational Policies, and Personnel Policies
• Ability to develop and implement Policies And Procedure and Policies & Procedures
• Skills in Counseling Employees, Employee Benefit Plan implementation, and managing Employee conflicts
• Proven experience in Employee Engagement and gathering Employee feedback
• Familiarity with Employee Handbook and Employee performance management
• Knowledge of Employment Law
• Experience in Pre-employment Processes
