- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Execute onboarding (including offer letters, pre-employment screenings, and orientation) and off-boarding (including exit interviews)
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Administer payroll and benefits
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Other duties as assigned
- Oversee Compliance trainings and follow-up as Compliance Officer
- Liaison with the HR & Compliance Committee of the Board of Directors
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Three to five years’ experience in human resources required; Generalist or Manager role preferred
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or Master’s degree a plus
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with HRIS software, Paycom a plus
- Excellent leadership, training and developmental skills
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset
- Expert in labor laws set by governing authorities and organizations
- Time management and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
This can be a hybrid position with three (3) days in office and two (2) days offsite upon completion of trial period and training.
