Job Description
The HR Operations Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation, maintenance, operations, security, and optimization of the ADP Workforce Now information system. Your attention to detail and strong knowledge of people data analytics, payroll laws and regulations, experience with benefits administration, open enrollment processes, and ability to handle sensitive confidential information with discretion will contribute to the company’s business objectives.
Responsibilities
HRIS Management
Daily responsibility for the successful implementation, maintenance, operations, security, and optimization of the ADP Workforce Now (WFN) system and interfaces, including ADP modules such as Recruitment/Applicant Tracking System, New Employee Onboarding System, Benefits Administration, Timekeeping Administration, Performance Management System, and non-ADP systems that are a part of the overall HRIS maintenance, such as SAP Concur.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, application operational efficiency, and security.
Conduct and participate in the analysis of workflows and design of functionality and/or improvements to systems, ensuring both process and system requirements are fully identified, evaluated, tested, and implemented.
Ensure automations and reports for travel and expense reimbursements, timekeeping, and tax jurisdictions operate seamlessly between payroll systems and operational ERP system.
Identify and troubleshoot system issues, integrations, and work with others (HR partners, Finance, IT, and vendors) as needed to bring resolution.
Assist with people data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring systems are optimized to reduce manual reporting.
Recommend and design data driven people analytics that support and increase operational excellence, revenue growth and profitability.
Assist with the transition of multiple HRIS systems to ADP, if applicable.
Maintain digital personnel files.
Payroll and Tax:
Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees using ADP systems with multiple company codes; experience with multistate payroll.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
Maintenance of accurate state unemployment and tax accounts.
Experience with tax notices and appropriate tax filings for multistate payroll.
Retain and organize payroll records and reports.
Provide training and support to team members on payroll systems and processes.
Provide frontline support to employees and managers when payroll questions arise.
Compensation and Benefits:
Support the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive compensation packages.
Develop and implement performance-based compensation plans and incentive programs.
Manage relationships with external benefit providers and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Oversee benefits administration, including managing employee enrollments, changes, and terminations
Manage benefit invoices, reconcile monthly billing, and ensure accurate file feeds to carriers
Coordinate and run open enrollment for employee benefits, ensuring smooth and efficient processes
Provide frontline support to employees and managers when benefits questions arise
Compliance and HR Administration:
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
Manage HR budget and resources effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Experience with benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Team player attitude is a must.
Strategic mindset and the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals.
Experience with multiple payroll system conversions to ADP a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
