Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for a Janitor for our client in Clinton Township, MI. This is a temporary position.



Shift

8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday



Job Summary

The janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of a building, facility, or workspace. This includes performing routine cleaning, minor maintenance tasks, and ensuring a clean and sanitary environment for all occupants.



Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, hallways, stairwells, and other areas.


• Trash Removal: Empty trash and recycling bins; dispose of waste properly.


• Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.


• Surface Cleaning: Wipe down and disinfect surfaces such as desks, tables, and countertops.


• Window Cleaning: Wash windows, glass doors, and mirrors as needed.


• Outdoor Cleaning: Sweep walkways, remove debris, and ensure outdoor areas are tidy.


• Supplies Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as necessary.


• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).


• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.


• Physical ability to lift and move objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.


• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.


• Good time management and organizational skills.
