Job Summary:
Little Steps Columbia is looking to hire a lead teacher for our one year old classroom. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. You will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, manage classroom behavior, and provide individualized attention to each child.

Duties
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and social-emotional development
- Use effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians on a regular basis
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate activities and events
- Utilize technology and other teaching resources to enhance student learning
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs or behavioral challenges
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to collaborate with colleagues
