We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant based in Kirkland, Washington. This role is within the finance industry and will be based in a formal office environment. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with budgeting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records
• Address and resolve any customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Regularly review customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed
• Conduct manual check runs and cash deposits
• Record monthly revenue from donations and contributions
• Oversee and process credit card transactions
• Manage two CD investments accruing interest
• Handle Accounts Receivables, including booking the accruals and investment
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and other accounting tasks
• Support with budgeting tasks as required
• Monitor and manage net assets within the company.• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with CaseWare is preferred
• Knowledge of Concur software
• Comfortable with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Understanding of various Accounting Functions
• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP)
• Capacity to handle Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Prior experience in Auditing
• Competency in performing Bank Reconciliations
