Our Client is looking for a great Accounting Manager to join their wonderful team. The responsibilities included in the position are as follows:

Manage, develop, and ensure timeliness of finance department operational functions including financial and managerial accounting and reporting, accounts payable, payroll.

•Develop, maintain, and enforce a system of internal controls over accounting transactions to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.

•Analyzes financial data looking for trends and discrepancies, communicating to supervisor identified financial risks and opportunities

•Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation.

•Ensures the preparation and publication of departmental financial statements and variance analysis of results are compliant with appropriate GAAP standards, financial reporting standard, and regulatory requirements and reasonableness of results.

•Coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information and activities to external auditors for the annual audits and tax returns.
•Coordinate and validate complex payroll calculations for salary reserve and bonus programs, RVU, over contract.
•Manage and coordinate pension and profit-sharing plan administration, including annual external audit and result findings.

•Share recommendations to management on short-term and long-term financial objectives and policies.

•Oversee banking and cash management administration and controls.

•Maintain various software systems utilized by department.

•Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
•Act as a consultant to department staff regarding policies and procedures.
•Coach, mentor, train, and develop staff including overseeing new employee onboarding

•Communicate regularly with other managers, directors, vice president, chief operations officer, president, and other designated contacts within the organization

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or in a related field is required.
7+ years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
3+ years of leadership experience doing similar work
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
•High attention to detail and accuracy
•Ability to direct and supervise
•Demonstrated mentoring skills and abilities to help develop team members and broaden their knowledge
or base
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manipulate accurately large amounts of data.

Preferred Requirements:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Internal Auditor, a plus

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of experience in the field of accounting
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Extensive knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Ability to manage all Accounting Functions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of General Accounting
  • Advanced skills in Excel Formulas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA or other advanced degree or designation
