Job Description
We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a contract opportunity with the possibility of being hired permanently. This consultant will be responsible for managing and executing the operations of the accounting and finance department in our biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting tasks including billing, General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Collaborate with external CPA firms for tax-related matters and filings.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
• Lead the financial close process while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Implement internal controls for safeguarding company assets and maintaining financial integrity.
• Assist in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision making.
• Provide recommendations for improving processes and efficiencies within the department.
• Ensure the timely execution of payroll activities.
• Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing processes
• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently
• Capable of performing Month End Close tasks
• Experience in Bank Reconciliations
