We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Reading, Pennsylvania. The primary function of this role is to manage both accounts payable and receivable in a team-oriented environment. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a role that requires high attention to detail and expertise in data entry and Excel formulas.


Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices

• Preparing and submitting customer invoices in a timely manner

• Managing the accounts payable data by sorting, coding, and entering it into the system

• Dealing with discrepancies and unpaid invoices through thorough analysis

• Handling the preparation of payments for signatures

• Posting and receipting payments, as well as coding them

• Overseeing customer credit applications and processing them with diligence

• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Proficient in Data Entry, with a fast typing speed and high level of accuracy.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel Formulas, with the ability to use them effectively for financial calculations.
• Experience with Billing procedures, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
• A minimum of a High School Diploma, preferably in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
