We have an opening for an Accounting Clerk with our client in the Non-Profit sector based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role will primarily involve managing account reconciliation, handling both accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate billing. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Manage account reconciliation tasks promptly and thoroughly

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring transactions are accurate and up to date

• Ensure accurate billing processes are adhered to consistently

• Maintain and update customer credit records with meticulous attention to detail

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required

• Perform data entry tasks related to invoice processing

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and record management

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the non-profit sector

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records

• Demonstrable experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Ability to manage billing processes and procedures efficiently

• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and speed

• Experience in invoice processing and follow-up

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
