We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team located in Newark, New Jersey. The primary function of this role involves the processing of accounting receivables collections and the maintenance of customer accounts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry.
Key responsibilities:
• Execute Accounts Receivable (AR) collections and apply cash to customer accounts.
• Conduct AR month-end reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Transfer data from physical formats into digital database systems efficiently.
• Develop and manage an effective and organized digital filing system.
• Coordinate, prepare, and process documents for scanning and electronic conversion.
• Move outdated files to inactive storage or destroy them following the necessary approval.
• Perform administrative duties, including data entry, filing, scanning, and record updating.
• Process and scan files for entry into the digital database.
• Perform other administrative and clerical office duties as assigned.
• Handle invoice processing and utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks effectively.• Proficiency in account reconciliation is a must
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Familiarity with billing procedures is necessary
• Strong data entry skills are essential
• Experience with invoice processing is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a significant plus
