We are offering an exciting opportunity in the finance industry for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor at our office location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations, from maintaining internal financial controls and supervising accounting staff, to leading the development and monitoring of budgets.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Supervise all accounting activities, including general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and grants administration.
• Regularly meet with leadership to discuss the financial status of various programs.
• Ensure that all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems comply with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting, ensuring that expenditures align with grant and program budgets.
• Conduct periodic internal audits to monitor and confirm the financial condition and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Provide training, guidance, and direction to employees, ensuring efficient, timely, and knowledgeable work performance.
• Oversee the preparation of federal and unemployment quarterly reports, state payroll reports, W2’s, and 1099s.• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services.
• Familiarity with BlackLine.
• Knowledge of Concur Software.
• Skilled in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Mastery of various Accounting Functions.
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP).
• Proficient in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Auditing skills are essential.
• Experience with Billing Functions.
