Accounting Manager
Plano, TX - Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Comp- $130-$145k + bonus DOE

One of Vaco's PE-backed clients in the business & IT services space is looking to onboard an Accounting Manager as part of a newly created department.  Prior experience with private equity groups and the pace with which they operate is a huge plus as well as any exposure to acquisition integration and purchase accounting. 

They are open to Senior Accountants looking to take the “next step” into a management role if they have the requisite M&A experience or a strong technical accounting background. 

Day-to-day

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage accounting transactions and reconciliations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, and report on variances
• Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Participate in financial audits and coordinate audit activities
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Help develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance as needed

Looking for:

• Bachelors in Accounting or relevant field, CPA or CPA in-process nice-to-have
• Leadership experience over the full scope and breadth of accounting operations
• "Servant leader" mentality with a strong focus on mentorship and growth
• Exposure to midmarket private equity operations
