Position Summary: The Accounting Manager oversees financial reporting, record-keeping, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. This role includes managing daily accounting operations such as cost accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, while supporting organizational objectives through accurate financial analysis and reporting.

Essential Functions: To perform this role effectively, the individual must be able to fulfill the following duties satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Manage and maintain the organization's general ledger, ensuring accurate tracking of assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Perform monthly close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries (JEs) related to revenue, expenses, and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile and analyze expense accounts, balance sheet accounts, and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare cash forecasts to support financial planning and liquidity management.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Lead the implementation of process improvements within the accounting team to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Support colleagues and other departments as needed, fostering a team-oriented environment.

Experience Requirements:
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Solid technical knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proven ability to perform complex tasks and follow established processes.
• Self-learner with a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on additional responsibilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in directing staff, making personnel decisions, and supporting team growth.
• Familiarity with budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural enhancements.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in accounting, including supervisory or leadership roles.
• Proficiency with Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting software is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Expertise in cash flow forecasting and balance sheet management.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Ability to work independently, proactively seek out opportunities to learn, and take ownership of responsibilities.
