We are conducting a search for one of our clients, for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will manage all accounting functions and provide direction for accounting staff. This position executes day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and banking responsibilities. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $90,000 per year.

Responsibilities:
  • Month-end, quarterly, annual close including preparing financial statements and sales reporting for the executive team
  • Coordinates annual financial external audit. Manages PBC listing and implements audit recommendations
  • Files tax reports including property tax and sales and use tax
  • Prepares and monitors OPEX and CAPEX budgets for multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Purchasing
  • Manages Accounts Payable including processing check runs on a weekly basis, reconciling company credit card statements, reconciling AP subledger to GL, and calculating sales commissions

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Fluent Japanese speaker required
  • 5+ years experience minimum required
  • Working knowledge of ERP (Great Plains preferred but not required)
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP including understanding of financial audit process and requirements
  • Experienced with all accounting cycles (AR, AP, GL, inventory costing) and with sales and use tax compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of income tax compliance is a plus
