Accounting Manager Job at Century Group in Novato

Century Group is excited to partner with a well respected non-profit organization in the North Bay to help them find an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. This is an onsite role in Marin County. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $110,000 to $120,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Monthly general ledger close including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Assist with preparation of financial reporting, annual budget and year end audit. Oversees all financial operations including general ledger, balance sheet reconciliation, cash functions and regulatory reporting and budgeting.
• Directly manages and provides training and mentoring to accounting staff.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences

Experience:

• REF #Bachelor's degree in Accounting or emphasis in Accounting from an accredited college or university is required
• MBA or CPA a plus
• 7 to 10 years previous general and financial accounting experience with increasing responsibilities is required
• Experience with the general ledger close, audits, accounts payable and payroll functions, management of cash and effective use of ERP systems
• Proficient to advanced level user of MS Excel
