Responsible for administrative support for units under the umbrella of the Office of Student Success (Student Success, Academic Advising, Academic Support). Serves as a direct supervisor of student assistants and works with all advising administrative staff. Supports the Executive Director of Student Success & Advising and the Director of Academic Support, in addition to academic advisors and college advising directors. Serves as the calendar coordinator for staff and departmental activities. Tracks budget expenditures. Hires, trains and supervises student employees. Prepares statistical reports, monitors supplies, and assets inventory.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Four years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to four years.

Experience with Microsoft Word.

Customer service experience.

Spreadsheet and/or database experience.

Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to project a positive attitude.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.

Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.

Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of specific university software programs (i.e., TimeClock Plus, Succeed (case management system), Degree Progress, and SAP.

Demonstrated ability to design/maintain web pages.

Duties & Responsibilities

Supports staff and operations for several departmental offices.

Scheduling/Calendaring for all staff, including advisors, college advising directors, and Executive Director.

Maintains and monitors departmental budgets.

Allocates expenses and assists in managing expense reporting.

Student supervision, statistical reports, and clerical support.

Monitors supplies, equipment, and inventory.

Responsible for maintaining department websites.

Approves, updates, and edits electronic timecards for students and staff.
