OFFICE ASSISTANT POSITION
Position Summary: The Office Assistant position will perform various routine clerical duties to support the organization, including assist with front desk and meeting coordination, running errands, scanning, printing, and copying, large mailings, creating binders for trial and other projects. This position works closely with Legal Assistants to continually grow in understanding and ability to perform administrative functions in a law firm environment provides. This position is full-time in the office, Monday to Friday 8:00 - 5:00.

The compensation depends on qualifications and experience. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Assist with front desk and meeting coordination, notifying attorneys and staff of guest arrivals. Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals.
- Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and time entry. Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, computers, and other standard office equipment.
- Copies, sorts, and files records related to office activities, business transactions, and other matters.
- Assists with processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist with conference room set up, clean up and kitchen maintenance.
- Support attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, and administration as needed.
Skills/Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft products and office technology, including imaging and scanning applications.
- Ability to adapt to change (expected and unexpected) and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Applying organizing strategies to ensure projects are appropriately prioritized.
- Positive service-first attitude, a strong work ethic, flexibility, and commitment to providing excellent internal and external client service.
- Monitors, proofreads, and takes ownership of work product for accuracy. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly, interpreting information and adapting communication to each situation and audience needs. Demonstrates excellent communication, grammatical and proofreading skills.
- Prior customer service and/or administrative experience is preferred.
- Requires consistent attendance and regular in-office presence. The firm's in-office work requirements may be modified in the firm's discretion.
