Plant Manufacturing Manager

An expanding chemical leader is seeking an experienced Plant Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations and drive strategic and technical improvements. In this role, you’ll manage Supervisors, Engineers, Team Leaders, and Operators, focusing on operational excellence, asset reliability, and employee development. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize all aspects of production to improve asset reliability, plant uptime, and long-term asset performance.
  • Develop and oversee weekly, monthly, and annual production plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Focus on employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning to build a high-performing team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments, including maintenance, engineering, and commercial teams.
  • Plan and allocate resources—labor, equipment, and materials—to meet production goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address any variances.
  • Lead maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime and minimize maintenance costs.
  • Drive incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action initiatives to improve safety and performance.
  • Develop and manage the operating budget, ensuring effective cost control for labor, materials, and operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of Operations or Manufacturing Management experience in a PSM-regulated chemical, petrochemical, or refinery environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
