Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Waterloo, IA
Salary: $60-90K
Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all processes, procedures and systems used in determining the manufacturability of new product designs from conceptualization to first production runs. Also responsible for coordinating activities for re-designs, updates and/or improvements to existing products.
Job Responsibilities:
•Provide direction in implementing required design specifications for new and existing products.
•Provide direction in implementing required manufacturing programs, processes, and procedures.
•Provide direction in implementing safety, design layouts, tooling, fixturing, and prototypes.
•Manage departments supporting manufacturing.
•Assist in supporting the implementation of product testing and quality assurance standards.
•Assist with coordinating procurement activities for raw materials and component parts.
•Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.
•Provide major project support for all areas as directed by senior management.

Requirements
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or similar experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, with hands-on CNC machining experience and familiarity with quality tools like FMEA and process mapping.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP software familiarity.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience with metal cutting, mechanics, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Lean Manufacturing: Understanding of Lean Six Sigma is a bonus.
- Language Skills: German is a plus but not required.
