Job details:
Must be capable of understanding injection molding, process control, machine capability, mold capability, material processing and auxiliary equipment operations.
Serves as an advanced troubleshooter when machine, tool, process, or inter-related problems develop during production runs.
Serve as the manufacturing representative in New Product Introduction and Development teams providing Design for Manufacturability expertise to assure seamless integration of new projects.
Recommend, participate, and execute continuous improvement projects in support of company objectives.
Assist in developing work cell lay-outs utilizing ergonomics, lean tools to improve workflow and efficiency.
Provide machine, process, and material expertise in the investigation, analysis, and preventive actions involving customer complaints.
Work hand in hand with Engineering as new projects are being developed to operate and maintain equipment. Assist with the transition from Engineering to Operations,
Assist and train operational personnel in setup and operation of new equipment and automation within the work cells.
Maintains all necessary documentation for projects to meet company current specifications and procedures.
Interact with customer representatives in order to fully understand the voice of the customer.
Coordinate modifications to tooling and auxiliary equipment to improve the molding process and/or modify the end product per customer specification.
Validate processes per customer and internal requirements.
Special projects as required by Manager.
Continually improve skills by taking appropriate training courses as necessary.
Performs other tasks related to manufacturing, engineering, and estimating as assigned.
