Position Summary
The Restaurant Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for the guest entering the restaurant and bar. Primary responsibility is to ensure exceptional guest service by warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and seating guest promptly. Assists in maintaining a clean and organized environment, working closely with the restaurant and bar staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets guests as they arrive with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Escorts guests to their tables, providing assistance as needed, such as pulling out chairs and presenting menus.
- Answers phone calls and inquiries regarding reservations, in a professional manner.
- Accurately records reservation details and special requests in the reservation booklet or system.
- Communicates special requests or VIP guests to the appropriate personnel.
- Always maintains a positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Relays important information to guests, such as wait times.
- Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customer's concerns are addressed.
- Takes "to go" orders, checks, and ensures all items are given to customer correctly.
- Takes room service orders and notifies room service attendant.
- Performs daily transactions involving cash, credit cards, comps, and food vouchers.
- Assists in taking food to rooms for room service.
- Assists servers with drinks.
- Makes daily floor plans of rotations for servers.
- Packages takeout orders.
- Keeps track of all servers, when not on floor, to ensure guest is seated with an available server.
- Helps bussers buss tables when needed.
- Ensures guests have a great experience by not overwhelming the server or the bartender, so they can give exceptional service.
- Places guest on wait list and call or texts them when table is available, notifies kitchen of big parties.
- Confirms with front desk about amenities.
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo of Sandia.
- Preforms other job-related duties as assigned.
- A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.
- Serves as the initial point of contact for guest inquiries in a courteous and attentive manner.
- Reflects a sense of trust, comfort and understanding by demonstrating empathy for guests when problems occur.

Education and Experience
Required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
License/Certifications/Registrations
- Must obtain and maintain a New Mexico Alcohol Server's License upon hire.
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
