Job Title: RN - ICU

Salary Range: $60,000 - $130,000

Shift: 12 Hours (Variable)

EliteCare Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Anacortes, WA. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment committed to providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.

Number of Beds: 6

Patient Ratios: 1:3 (depending on acuity)

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients:

Sepsis

COPD

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)

Elderly patients

Suicide attempts

Drug overdoses

Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (a fib RVR)

Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.

Ability to float to Acute Care (12-bed unit) or Emergency Room as needed.

Monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips using GE and Phillips monitors.

Titrate drips as necessary, including but not limited to:

Sedation (e.g., Propofol)

Pressors (e.g., Levo, Norepinephrine, Dopamine)

Insulin

Cardizem

Support Staff

Charge Nurse: A charge nurse oversees both acute care and ICU, without patient assignments. They are ACLS certified but do not work as ICU nurses.

Nurse Aids: 2-3 nurse aids per shift shared between acute care and ICU, depending on census.

Hospitalist/Intensivist Availability: Tele-nocturnist and tele-intensivist services available.

Respiratory Therapy (RT): RT on-site 24/7, shared hospital-wide.

RT Equipment Available: Heated high flow, CPAP, BiPAP, and Drager ventilators.
