Sanitation Technician                                  

Description: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for efficiently cleaning assigned equipment in a safe and accurate manner using shovels, high pressure hoses, formers, foggers, and chemical cleaners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Report to assigned workstation; ensure all necessary tools, equipment, supplies and materials are available in staging areas.
2. Disassemble and clean floors, walls, production equipment, towers, conveyors, pipelines, and other machinery and remove guards as required prior to general operations start up.
3. Clean production facility, including floors and trash removal in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
4. Handle sanitation chemicals in compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) requirements.
5. Make suggestions regarding improved techniques for the control of plant cleanliness.
6. May perform other sanitation duties as required.

Additional Responsibilities

1. May perform additional responsibilities directed from management.
2. Promote and follow client policies and procedures.
3. Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

1. Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions.
2. Ability to work with multi-functional teams.
3. Ability to set priorities and operate within deadlines with minimal supervision.
4. Knowledge of basic math skills.
5. Ability to read, understand and follow SSOPs and other written procedures.

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday (Night Shift)
