An established engineering team is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer on 3rd shift to lead critical projects and drive process improvements in product design, manufacturing processes, and capital equipment development. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering efforts in product design, manufacturing processes, and equipment development.
- Oversee technical aspects of new product introductions and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize processes.
- Manage production, assembly, tooling, testing, and calibration.
- Ensure that designs and processes align with business strategies and production needs.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and process routings, including cost-effective tooling and equipment.
- Lead cross-functional teams to solve product and process issues, aiming to enhance quality, productivity, and safety.
- Drive high-impact process and quality improvement projects that reduce defects and increase productivity.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce costs and improve capacity and process capability.
Qualifications:
- Education: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an industry setting, with aerospace experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in problem-solving and independent decision-making.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and SPC tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, with CAD (Unigraphics preferred) experience.
- Strong project management abilities and a collaborative team approach.
