Schedule Information: Sunday through Thursday 11:00pm to 7:30am
Hours per Week: 40

Work Conditions: Employees are subject to both indoor and outdoors environmental conditions. Employee may be required to wear respiratory protection, eye protection and/or hearing protection and other personal protective equipment on a daily basis. Employee is exposed to dust and cleaning solvents.
Duties of Position: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining College facilities, classrooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.
Provide custodial services for Harper College facilities.
Cleans and maintains the College facilities, buildings, offices, classrooms, restrooms and common areas.
Performs custodial duties to include vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, dust mopping and wet mopping floors, furniture dusting, cleaning and replenishing restrooms supplies, emptying and cleaning waste receptacles, cleaning whiteboards, cleaning windows and walls, cleaning restrooms and other facilities as assigned, cleaning elevators and stairwells, and maintaining custodial supplies and equipment.
Educational Requirements: High school education or equivalent.
Experience: At least six months of janitorial/housekeeping/ custodial experience is required. Knowledge of cleaning methods, material, and equipment. Must have the necessary skills to do the following: vacuum, wet/dry vacuum, carpet extraction, shampooing, stripping and waxing of floors. **Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License**
