Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Durham, NC
Shift: 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) Must be available to fill in on 12hr shifts when needed.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our production and facility equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing daily maintenance support and repairs on all production and facility equipment and systems.
Bending and installing conduit, pulling and terminating wires, and replacing motors as needed.
Conducting preventative maintenance on all equipment through our work order system.
Demonstrating a strong understanding of basic electricity and electronics, including three-phase and single-phase controls, ladder diagrams, low-voltage relay logic, digital and analog electronics, microprocessors, and electrical schematics.
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, as well as installing and maintaining various production and building equipment.
Performing preventive maintenance inspections according to checklists and manufacturer procedures.
Collaborating with Managers, Supervisors, and Operators to address maintenance concerns promptly.

Requirements:

Proficient in MS Excel and Word for data entry and report generation.
Willingness to learn basic electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, combining technical and interpersonal skills.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to mechanical noise and a dusty, dirty work environment.
Varying temperatures from warm to cold.
