We are currently seeking a North America Accounting Manager who will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and support the North America Controller with managing the close process, supervising and coaching our team of accountants, as well as working cross-functionally with other teams to ensure smooth financial operations. He or she will also be responsible for owning and maintaining key internal controls, supporting the internal and external audit processes, as well as collaborating on ad hoc internal projects. What we’ll get you doing: Manage the overall general ledger (GL) accounting function, including prepare, review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations. Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes and ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with Danaher accounting policy and GAAP. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and SOX requirements. Drive continuous process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in the accounting function. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including FP&A, tax, shared service teams and regional finance teams to ensure accurate financial data, reporting and drive working capital improvement. Oversee and mentor GL accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax and government agencies, providing required documentation and addressing any inquiries. The essential requirements of the role include: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/economics with 5+ years of accounting experience OR Master's degree in field with 3+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0+ years experience Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle), reporting tools and strong proficiency with Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: CPA or equivalent credential is preferred. Experience in life science industry and manufacturing, revenue operation are highly desirable. Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls. The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $135,000-$150,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
