Based on estimates for Highland customer with large fleet Summary: Highland Electric Fleets is seeking a skilled and proactive Business Systems Lead to join our team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in dynamic environments, has a strong bias for action, and is motivated by solving complex business challenges, implementing systems, and driving process efficiencies. As a Business Systems Lead, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system solutions, identify opportunities for process improvements, and create and execute a strategic roadmap for optimized system usage. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define success criteria, and oversee project progress from planning to execution. In this role, you will manage relationships with external consultants, lead testing initiatives, and provide post-go-live support to ensure successful system adoption and seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in business, process improvement, and technology, with a proven ability to deliver impactful results. Prior consulting experience with enterprise system implementations is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Implementation: Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather project requirements, set objectives, define success criteria for new systems or process improvements, and lead project execution. Process Efficiency Improvement: Actively analyze and optimize processes by mapping workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions. System Usage & Product Roadmapping: Plan, develop, and execute product roadmaps to advance system capabilities and improve functionality, collaborating with relevant teams to align priorities. Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Work with business teams to capture detailed requirements and translate them into actionable project tasks to ensure alignment with business needs and objectives. Consulting Coordination: Assist in managing external consulting efforts, ensuring the timely progression and resolution of action items provided by consultants. Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead testing efforts, develop comprehensive testing plans, and coordinate testing activities to validate system performance and functionality. Go-Live & Post-Implementation Support: Take ownership of go-live activities by troubleshooting issues directly with users and coordinating cross-team efforts. Documentation & Training Development: Develop training documents and user guides to facilitate onboarding for new hires and provide refreshers on system functionalities for existing employees. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, product management, business analysis, systems analysis, or related roles. Experience with business process improvement and system implementation. Strong organizational and project management skills. Desired Qualifications: Prior experience as a systems implementation consultant. Experience in technology-driven business process management. Familiarity with databases, system configuration, or development. Background in system testing, test plan creation, and troubleshooting. Experience in creating training and process documentation. Strong collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders. Proficiency in leading cross-functional project teams. Experience in a lean or start-up environment is a plus.
