Under direction of the Manager, Corporate Finance Systems, the Corporate Finance Systems Team Lead will implement, lead, design, develop, and maintain the Corporate Finance System, StrataJazz (Strata). The CFS Team Lead will act as the SME for Strata and its applications, including, but not limited to, Capital Business Planning, OnePlan Budgeting, Management Reporting, Strategic Planning, Decision Support, Cost Accounting, and play a key role in implementing the Productivity Reporting (PR) Module in Strata for the Community Hospitals.
The Team Lead will use prior experience to provide expert direction for successfully integrating and maintaining the integrity of the StrataJazz system for the Boston Medical Center Health System (including, but not limited to, BMC ("Hospital"), WellSense Health Plan, Boston University Medical Group ("BUMG"), Clearway Health, and Community Hospitals). Team Lead will partner all BMCHS finance teams (including, but not limited to, BMCHS Financial Planning teams, Capital Planning Team, Decision Support team, Workforce Management team) to properly maintain the StrataJazz system while strategically managing the data from BMCHS sources systems (including Infor, Workday, Kronos, Epic).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Project Management
Manage multiple projects and project teams, including the implementation of the StrataJazz Productivity Reporting Module and the setup of the new community hospital in the system, from conception to completion. This includes scheduling meetings, creating agendas, maintaining expectations, adhering to project timelines, and documenting meeting notes.
Strategically analyze the impacts projects have while accounting for future and upcoming projects, and presenting these impacts to the Manager of Corporate Finance Systems and key stakeholders of those projects
Communicate the advantages and disadvantages during Go/No-Go decision-making discussions. The Team Lead will leverage prior experience to clearly communicate the direct and indirect impacts these decisions will have on the StrataJazz system for the entire BMCHS System. This information will be reported to the Manager of Corporate Finance Systems and key stakeholders.
Clearly and efficiently communicate solutions, timelines, and processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all parties are aligned and informed.
Act as strategic consultant to key operational leaders (Finance, IT, HR, etc.) on best practices for rolling out a best-in-class experience within the StrataJazz system that aligns with the operational and financial objectives of the BMCHS system for all end users.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Finance leadership, and source systems teams (including, but not limited to FIS, HRIS, Epic EMR) to foster open communication and collaboration to achieve BMCHS System objectives and goals.
Create, develop, and implement reporting for all user types across all StrataJazz modules for the Health System by consulting with system-wide BMCHS Finance teams on best-in-class solutions.
Advise leadership and key stakeholders of potential problems, requirements for expanded services, and status of current StrataJazz modules on an ongoing basis.
Advise and consult using previous experience to understand and recommend solutions to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement, driving efficiencies and better outcomes through feedback loops and process optimization. Hears the business needs expressed by the entire Health System to solve problems and clearly documents the capabilities and constraints of the StrataJazz system.
Engage with stakeholders to listen to and understand business challenges, pain points, and needs to analyze issues, develop tailored solutions, and determine the best approach for solutions.
Use prior SQL data extract experience to partner with different source system owners (including, but limited to FIS, HRIS, Epic EMR) to ensure data integrity to the StrataJazz system for all modules and all entities of the BMCHS System
System Maintenance and Control
Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of the StrataJazz system across all modules for the entire BMCHS System by conducting a root-cause analysis of any data file failures to the system
Develop and implement system access approval process for all StrataJazz modules (including Productivity Reporting module) and entities
Develops, tests, and debugs data extracts to ensure that the StrataJazz system adheres to end-user requirements while maintaining a strong emphasis on data integrity throughout the testing process.
Coordinate with the Financial Planning teams for the BMCHS Corporate and BMC Hospital (along with future entities) to publish the StrataJazz module Management Reporting monthly to end users on a timely manner.
Develop and maintain best-practice guidelines for all StrataJazz modules to encompass the Health System in one system while understanding the unique needs for each entity.
Provide efficient and ample testing during testing phases of implementations, including, but not limited to StrataJazz Productivity Reporting Module

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
MBA, MHA, MPH preferred, but not required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
None required
StrataJazz Certifications is a Plus
Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) or CPA is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in StrataJazz required
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in consulting, providing technical guidance preferred
Experience with Infor, or other ERP systems required
Experience with Epic EMR, Kronos Timekeeping, Workday preferred
Expert skills in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Pivot Tables, X/V-Lookups), Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
Expert skills in SQL coding and development
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong knowledge of Kronos, Workday, Infor, Epic EMR
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand impacts to the StrataJazz system
Proven strong leadership skills
