Client Enablement Solutions Architect

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fellow to join our Client Enablement team. In this critical role, you will drive the technical vision, software strategy, and systems architecture for the software packages we deploy at customers to help them expeditiously adopt our AI platforms.

This role demands a seasoned professional with strong technical expertise in building software that interacts with hardware across various AI subsystems - CPUs, GPUs, networking, storage and more. This position demands a deep understanding of data center platform interdependencies and technology strategy with functional knowledge of AI models desired. Furthermore, a key aspect of this role is the close collaboration with our AI and HPC Tuning team, AMD ROCm team and Hardware Design teams - ensuring that client enablement knowledge consistently informs and influences our future product definitions, and any associated plans of record (POR) changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary responsibility to provide architectural guidance and support to our teams and customers as we help them adapt AMD Data Center GPU solutions. This role is critical to enable our rapid scaling and broad customer adoption both in enterprise and cloud.
  • Define architectural requirements for software tools that enable rapid debugging and triaging of customer issues.
  • Engage with third-party hardware partners (Networking, memory, Storage, etc.), ensuring optimal compatibility and integration with our HPC platform.
  • Advance our networking interface strategy, accounting for the specific requirements and nuances of AI and HPC applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the AI and HPC Applications Tuning team, ensuring that the customer engagement insights inform and influence all aspects of our software and solutions.
  • Drive future product architecture influence, leveraging insights from across the organization and industry trends.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Foster strong relationships with customers, engaging in dialogue to understand their needs and aligning our product development accordingly.
  • Work across internal teams in a server or AI environment to ensure our technical capabilities align with customer needs.
  • Technically oversee the co-engineering of software development and validation, ensuring robust and reliable solutions.
  • Engage with third-party software and firmware partners (ISVs, OSVs, IBVs) to ensure optimal software compatibility and performance.
  • Work in tandem with the AI and HPC Applications Tuning team to integrate their insights into our tools development plans, new data insight generation, and performance attainment oversight.
  • Leverage the team's technical expertise in shaping future product architecture, networking interface strategy, and our overall DFx roadmap.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS in Electrical Engineering is required. An advanced Engineering degree (MS or Ph.D.) would be an added plus.
