Tundra Testing is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Scientific Director, overseeing laboratory operations and ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards. This role involves developing innovative testing methodologies, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality results for Alaska’s vital industries. Candidates must have a strong background in chemical or biological sciences and proven leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  2. Develop and implement testing methodologies, protocols, and quality assurance programs.
  3. Lead research initiatives to expand service offerings and integrate emerging technologies.
  4. Collaborate with clients to design customized testing solutions tailored to their needs.
  5. Manage and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  6. Monitor and report on lab performance metrics, ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Doctorate in chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university, plus two years of post-degree laboratory experience.

OR

Master’s degree in chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university, plus four years of post-degree laboratory experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological sciences from an accredited college or university, plus six years of post-degree laboratory experience.

Compensation

$137,000 yearly
