You will be part of the Retail Finance team, leading a team focused on devising and implementing a global staffing strategy for Apple’s stores globally: over 500 locations across over 20 countries, with opex in excess of $4B. Our work directly impacts the customer experience of Apple globally. The job will entail collaboration with field leadership and a wide set of functional teams (including Store Operations, People, Tax, Compensation, Public Relations, Legal, and AppleCare). The team is split across strategy design, analysis, reporting, and forecasting. The wide range of cross-functional stakeholders means all team members need to be able to influence decisions effectively. This leader shall partner with and influence various groups, handle confidential information, and carry a very high level of responsibility and exposure.
Description
- Lead and develop a team of financial professionals to staff Apple’s Retail Stores efficiently, while providing a great employee and customer experience.
- Own the annual plan, monthly forecast cycles, and quarterly close process for WW Retail Staffing costs and Headcount. Integrate business trends and dynamic staffing strategies into detailed cost models and forecasts.
- Analyze financial results, including budgets vs. actuals, monthly trends, other expense drivers, and operational KPIs. Summarize and articulate key drivers to Retail and Finance leadership.
- Own and drive total store cross-functional initiatives and projects (e.g. Apple Vision Pro Demo Resourcing) through collaboration with partners including Retail Real Estate, Store Operations, and Workforce Strategy. Develop implementation plans for other disclosed projects.
- Support labor strategy planning and modeling for new Retail Stores.
- Complete strategic and financial analysis for ad hoc work to facilitate executive decision-making related to Store staffing and investments.
- Drive operational improvements across recurring FP&A tasks, systems, and cross-functional workflows to contribute to improved forecast accuracy and financial insights.
- Manage a team that supports the Store requisition approvals, a key control to staffing levels in store. Own ongoing partnership with Recruiting Operations and Technology to continuously improve the process and refine control points of hiring in stores.
- Define and coordinate technical and operational solutions for total store staffing opportunities and internal team processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience, with management experience
- Bachelor's in Finance or other related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with 1 or more years of management experience
- Outstanding influencing skills with a strong executive presence
- Deep analytical capabilities and ample financial / quantitative horsepower
- Interest in Apple’s business and strategy
- A “player-coach” attitude with an ability to build high-performing teams.
Compensation and Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,900 and $269,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
