As a Manager, Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of business intelligence strategies and solutions. You will manage a team of BI analysts and developers, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, the role involves staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence tools and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
What You'll Do Here:
• Develop and execute the overall BI strategy, aligning initiatives with business goals and objectives and staying in tune with industry trends.
• Manage a team of data warehouse analysts and BI developers, prioritizing workload, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision making.
• Develop and deliver clear, concise, and impactful reports and dashboards to key stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Oversee the collection, transformation, and analysis of data from various sources to generate meaningful insights through reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards, data governance policies, and access controls to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
• Work with the analytics team to design and implement self-service dashboards that utilize advanced analytics and visualization techniques, driving strategic business decisions.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of stakeholder needs across business lines, using technical expertise to inform priorities and focus areas.
• Establish a transparent prioritization process with business partners and team members, ensuring effective resource planning.
• Develop and maintain documentation for BI processes and systems as well as end user documentation to share with the business stakeholders.
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests.
• Serve as a thought leader and mentor in business domain knowledge and BI techniques, enhancing team performance.
The Skills You'll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics
• Proven experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView and the ability to design and implement complex data visualizations and models
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in data mining, SQL, and data modeling, and experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Knowledge of data governance best practices
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions
